Frequently Asked Questions

What is Community Project Management?

Community project management is the practice of planning, organising, and delivering projects for and with a community, where success is measured not just by time, cost, and scope, but also by social value, participation, and local impact.

Who are our courses for?

Anyone working on or thinking about working on a community project:

– Community volunteers
– Local committees and clubs
– Small organisations and charities
– First-time project leads

“No prior experience needed.

Is it really free?

Yes. All courses and content are completely free. The goal is to make high-quality project management knowledge accessible to community volunteers.

Do I need formal qualifications?

No. This is designed for real-world use, not exams. You can apply everything you learn without any certification or background in project management.

What kind of content is included?

Simple guides (e.g. planning checklists) templates (e.g. project proposal), short blogs and practical advice with real-world examples from community projects.

Do I need special tools or software?

No. Our templates are designed to work as printouts and common software like Microsoft Word and Excel.

How much time do I need to commit to a course?

Classes are for 2 hours, and depending on the course, range from 1 to 6 classes. Courses are designed for ‘learning while doing afterwards’, not long study sessions. You can start applying useful concepts immediately.

Can I contribute or share ideas?

Yes. This is a community-driven group. If you have practical experience, or lessons learned you want to share, you will be encouraged to contribute, we love to hear them.
